About FADE:

Fabrication and Design Essentials (FADE) is a 3 quarter-long skill building programs that help instill into new and returning members a strong technical foundation and better preparedness for any/all projects, both personal and otherwise. This program consists of weekly 1 - 2 hour-long lab/lecture sections where officers skilled in the specific technical field discuss core principles and practical applications of the topic. Completing this program will allow members to apply concepts discussed in engineering classes into hands-on, self-directed projects, as well as to develop lasting relationships with peers and officer mentors. FADE is divided into 3 quarter-long programs (each designed to be a standalone project) so members can pick and choose which topics interest them:

  1. Computer-Aided Design & Analysis
  2. Materials & Manufacturing
  3. Electronics

Each phase will culminate in a project/competition that will allow participants to directly apply all of the skills learned in that respective phase.
